Tyler, Texas Hello Reader, Two months down; ten to go: 2024 is ticking by fast, and spring is right around the corner. I can tell, because our daffodils are up, although none have blooms yet. The soil here is poor. Maybe I should feed them? The weather is mild, so I've taken to reading Bible, history, and story time aloud in the front yard while my kids and grandkids lounge on picnic baskets or listen from the branches of a nearby Magnolia tree. There are lots of things to celebrate in March. You'll find a few of our favorites in this week's link list (minus Easter, which will get a link list of its own in a couple more weeks). Enjoy! Free resources for you this week:
What I'm reading this week:What we're watching this week:We saw the last two episodes of season 4 of THE CHOSEN in theaters over the weekend. So powerful! The scene where Mary anoints the feet of Jesus with pure nard brought tears to my eyes. He is definitely portrayed as "a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief." (Isaiah 53:3) On the podcast this week:Progress on last week's goals:I had another banner week for marking chores off my to-do list: I β hemmed the curtains in my daughters' bedroom, β anchored the cushions on our couch to keep them from sliding forward when we sit on them, β reattached the loose lining to the bottom of our upholstered ottomans, β switched out valentine for spring-themed ornaments on the tree in my bedroom, β prepared my notes for a guest spot on a friend's podcastβ we'll be taping this Friday, and β worked a14-hour shift at the polls on Super Tuesday. Whew! The only thing I didn't get done is β repairing our broken dining room chair (although I did gather supplies and plan to knock that off the list today). π Personal goals for this week:
