Hello, Friend.

It hardly seems possible, but it's already April. Can you believe it?

Easter is just around the corner, and since I've posted several new resources for celebrating Christ's resurrection recently, I thought today would be a good time to do a round-up of Easter printables. Enjoy!

Free resources for you this week:

  • DIY Resurrection Eggs - Download our free printable or follow these DIY directions to share the Easter story in a way kids won’t soon forget
  • Resurrection Day Word Find - Race your family and friends to see who can find them all first
  • Passion Week Trivia Quiz - Test your knowledge of the events occurring during the week leading up to Christ’s crucifixion.
  • All About God's Grace - My children helped me film this music video several years back -- an Easter-themed parody of Meghan Trainor's "All about That Bass"
  • He Carried Our Sorrows Coloring Page - A coloring page featuring beautiful vintage artwork.
  • Gospel Tracts for Easter - These six, free printable tracts share the good news of God’s salvation in simple, Easter-themed language and imagery.
  • Jelly Bean Prayer - Here’s another sweet way to share the good news of salvation.
  • Easter Conversation Starters - More discussion prompts to pose to family and friends to get them talking around the dinner table.

What I'm reading this week:

My family has spent the past 12 days on an extended road trip. For the first half of the trip, we listened to a free audio recording of Uncle Tom’s Cabin I found on LibriVox. We cried so much while listening, it made it difficult to read the road signs.

Harriet Beecher Stowe paints such a moving and detailed account of the atrocities of slavery, it’s little wonder Abraham Lincoln reportedly quipped upon meeting her, “So you’re the little woman who wrote the book that started this great war.”

If you’ve never read Uncle Tom’s Cabin, you are missing out. The book is now in public domain, which means you can listen to the audiobook for FREE on Librivox, just like we did.

What we're watching this week:

We stopped in Las Vegas on our way home from the west coast. While we were there, we caught a refreshingly family friendly show called iLuminate. Dubbed "Best New Act in America" by America's Got Talent, click through this link to read my thoughts about the performance.

Progress on last week's goals:

Check, check, check. Over the past week, I've ✅ made great family memories, ✅ spent time wih my in-laws, ✅ finished reading 2 books, and ✅ done some quilting. It always feels so nice when Im able to make everything off my to-do list.

Goals for this week:

  • Get home safely
  • Get caught up on grading
  • finish reading 1 more book

And that's it for now. I'm 2 hours behind Texas time at present, but if I don't hit send now, I'm going to miss my Wednesday publication date altogether. So ta-ta for now!
