Hello Reader,

February has a bonus day this year. Isn't that fun? I'm planning a special party for my grandkids for Leap Day, in which we'll enjoy several of the activities I'm sharing in this week's link list. Enjoy!

Free resources for you this week:

What I'm reading this week:

Life is Hard, God is Good, Let's Dance by Brant Hanson is simultaneously hilarious and heart-warming. Full of personal anecdotes, it offers a considerate explanation as to why the author 's faith in God remains unshaken despite the difficulties life has thrown his way. Especially enjoyable was the story of how God answered his impassioned childhood prayer for a friend. I love (and agree wholeheartedly with) Brant's perspective -- that God is good, even when current circumstances aren't.

On the podcast this week:

Loving Life at Home: Episode 33

RUNNING WITH ENDURANCE

The Bible has a lot to say about running with endurance... and the half-marathon I completed over the weekend really helped drive those truths home.

Progress on last week's goals:

I finished five of my six stated goals last week: I βœ… helped my dino-loving grandson make a T-Rex piΓ±ata, βœ… added a new Easter Print Pack to our shop, βœ… completed the Cowtown Half-Marathon together with my daughter, βœ… pulled together costumes for Pirates vs. Mermaids Day at co-op, and βœ… booked accommodations for an upcoming road trip (finish this!!) The only thing I didn't get done was ❌ reviewing Vocal Gym for Timberdoodle.

Personal goals for next week:

  • hem curtains in girls' room
  • repair broken dining room chair
  • anchor couch cushions so they won't slide
  • reattach upholstery to bottom of ottomans
  • switch out valentine for spring time decor
  • prepare for upcoming guest spot on a friend's podcast
  • work 14-hour shift at polls on Texas primary election day
