Hello, Friend.

We're in San Antonio this week, doing all the Christmas-y things that have become an annual tradition for our family: watching Christmas pageants, viewing Christmas lights, attending Christmas concerts, playing lots of games, and making wonderful memories.

We end up doing the same handful of activities every time we come, but repetition is part of what makes a tradition a tradition, right?

Another of our family's favorite Christmas traditions was marked off our list before we ever left home: writing our annual Christmas update and getting our cards in the mail. Do you love to write -- or receive -- cards as much as I do? If so, then this week's link list is just for you. 💌

Free resources for you this week:

What we're reading this week:

As is our annual tradition, we are re-reading all our old Christmas letters this month aloud to the family, the first 25 years of which are published in a book called Glad Tidings. This is a great way to review our family history and reminisce together, and helps the younger kids know what all their older siblings were like at their age.

Progress on last week's goals:

I ✅ finished everything except ❌ the boys' haircuts, ❌ the algebra semester grades, and ❌ the Polish costume (although I'm getting close!)

Goals for this week:

  • finish that costume (I'll post pics of it on Instagram once I do)
  • present power point presentation on Poland at family challenge tomorrow
  • make great family memories (sending this newsletter NOW so I can get back to it!)

Another poll for you this week:

Nacho flavored Doritos won out on last week's snack poll. One reader's tip: Try them with cottage cheese.

This week's question: Do you send Christmas cards? If so, with or without a newsy letter?
